Alone In The Park
Odin set his last pawn on the public table
And waited to share the Fable.
It being the story of the world
Which he would've willingly unfurled
For a single game of chess
Odin would answer any yes
Or no question.
He would share every lesson,
But no one would ever bother
Odin, the Allfather.
He used to callout to the passerby
But all they saw was the park's old guy.
He realized why,
They were too enchanted by their little electronic device.
This realization turned his blood to ice,
And nearly caused him to cry.
Ragnarök had truly come, just not in the prophesized way.
Man had been forced to obey.
All the gods had fallen to the lies it produced,
All as weak as the mortals who'd been seduced.
All save Odin,
No longer Allfather, only all alone.
