Alone in the Shadows

I sit alone here in my dark corner. No one around to care. I hear no noise or sound. I see nothing but pitch darkness. No person to see my tears or feel my pain. I sit still in the dark afraid to move. Afraid i might be swallowed up. Then someone appeared. He reached out his hand that glowed in the dark. "Take my hand and I will set a fire in your dark world." I grabbed his hand holding on for dear life, never to let go. When he pulled me up he pulled me up into a world of light and color. "Now you are free." He said as he smiled at me. Forever grateful I will stay loyal to my new friend and life saver.
