Alone vs Lonely

To be alone is not to be lonely

To be alone is not having anyone there physically

But there emotionally

To be lonely is something different

To be lonely is to have someone there physically

But there's no emotional attachment

Often when I'm alone, I realize how lonely I am

How there's no one ever there when I'm in need

I am lonely too often

When I am alone

My thoughts bubble to the surface

Facing me to realize

I can have all the friends,  but still be lonely

I am lonely, but not alone
