Alone/Loneliness

Being alone A benign occupation And yet so painful There's a huge difference Between being alone And being lonely Some can't take being alone But they fail to realize That there are others That are just plain lonely No one to talk to To lean on To turn to when in need So being alone Isn't the issue How will you fare When roughly introduced To a life filled With loneliness? Will you break down And start to pity yourself Or will you contemplate Those who've gone past the point of "alone" To the point of "being lonely" Consumed with nothing But the pain that goes with it? It's a sad truth That many refuse to face So they go around Posting statuses on facebook "I'm lonely", "I'm alone" No, you don't understand. True loneliness Isn't something that can be so easily expressed It's felt deep within At the core of your system So flippant statements such as these Are to be recanted Repulsed Blatantly disregarded Loneliness is not a word It's a feeling And for some A way of life.
