Along the Road
Along the Road
Some days as you walk along
the rough and dirty road,
you wonder where you are.
you seek meaning
as you stumble through the challenges
of the life before you.
You struggle your way through the many sufferings,
which never cease
to leave your side.
The voice,
your own,
inside your head,
Screams to renounce this life,
To descend so far
below the jagged ground,
To become a slave unto yourself,
one dying to be free,
one dying to be released.
You need to admit to everything.
You long for
your heart to be set free.
You need to be known
for all you are,
not for
what you wish to be.
to admit to your troubles and worries,
faults and tears,
to find the path you can handle
and will lead you
to the person you were meant to be.
To forgive the wrong,
and in vast time,
to learn to forgive yourself.
to recognize,
everyone will complete the wrong.
No one will ever
be so flawless,
as all that we are said to be.
Somewhere along the road,
you will discover who you’re meant to be.
