always

i wish i was actually poetic

so i could write about you the way you deserve to be written about

but i cannot as you won't be so limited

into words, in which there are not enough,

just as there are not enough stairs

to reach the heavens

we will never reach the end

to where our satisfaction is reached

we are constantly wanting to edit

fix, change, improve

ourselves into something when in fact

the backspace subjects us to our sorrows

in which nothing will ever be perfect,

nothing will ever be right

but if there is one thing

i willl always write
