Always An End

Fingers tapped, i was a little shy, Words like sparks, a brand new sky. Little hearts began to beat, Walking down a hopeful street. Shared the secrets, held them tight, Everything felt pure and just right. Laughing loud beneath the moon, Thought it would forever bloom. Then a whisper, then a doubt, Words that turned and left us out. Little fights, a growing chill, On the hilltop, standing still. Days grew short, the nights grew long, Where did we go wrong? Angry silence, heavy air, A feeling too much to bear. No more plans, no “see you soon,” Just a shadow of the moon, The happy song begins to fade, A different and sad controlling path is being made.
