Always On My Mind

It has been quite some time since it all ended, Everything’s fine and all is mended There’s just one thing that won’t seem to fade It’s not that it’s such a bad thing, Ok it sucks but it does get me smiling I will be sitting down getting ready to unwind, and then you just happen to pop up in my mind And I just have to ask myself “Why must you invade my mind?” Why must I think about you a lot of the time? I think I know why and I am not afraid to admit it Maybe feelings are still there, but it would be nice to no longer care I guess it’s just going to take some time, before the thought of you leaves my mind But just in case you don’t know, the thought of you just won’t go Then again, maybe I don’t want it to, what’s a girl to do? Oh well, I guess I’ll just let go, until the thought of you leaves me alone I just want you to know that I still care, feelings that I still seem to bear Sometimes I still ponder on the past hoping what we had could have lasted Too bad you didn’t give it a full chance, now all you’ll get from me but a glance Oh well, it’s just one small loss, so I will just sit back, relax and focus on my studies, Until the thought of you is no longer with me So just keep in mind I do still think of you a lot of the time, In fact you are what inspired this rhyme If you are reading this, then I hope you enjoy it and if not, screw it But I know you will like this poem just because it’s all about you, Just so you know, everything I said is unbelievably true Maybe you’ll smile, maybe you’ll laugh or maybe you might even be just a tiny bit sad But no matter how this rhyme makes you feel, at least you know my thoughts are real At least you are now reading the truth; you now know that you are on my mind You
