Always By My Side

You fought a battle and won the war

It soon came back for more,

Gone was seeing your precious little face

Every year I make sure to lay a flower at your resting place,

I will never forget the unconditional love you gave to me

For it never took me long to see

How much you have truly always meant to me,

Tears run down my face

Each time I think of all the fun times I had with you here on this place,

To me you were more than just a pet

Even though you were only about the size of a small barrette

You were family and someone I won't ever forget,

So as you wait until it's my time

Just know you're always welcome in Spirit at bedtime,

I know I just couldn’t live without you guiding me and shining a light from above

Rest in peace my sweet little angel Annabelle, all my love
