Always There

Wind surrounds my face.

Birds chirp in sweet harmony.

Grandma's soft embrace

Will forever find me.

Though she no longer feels the breeze,

She is felt in the brisk air.

Though she no longer hears the robin's trill

She is heard when it's sung.

I will forever be at ease.

Knowing she is aware

Of my climb up the hill

And the life I have brung.
