Always There

She was always there.

When she fell off her bike at the age of 6 and scraped her knee-

the comfort, the reassurance, the love.

When she had to stand up to her bullies in middle school-

the support, the advocation, the love.

When she was up at 2 A.M. with tears soaking her face over that first boy-

the encouragement, the motivation, the love.

When she won the biggest competition of her high school career-

the happiness, the delight, the love.

When she needed to release the frustrations of the day-

the understanding, the attentiveness, the love.

When she was ready to take the next big step in her life-

the assistance, the guidance, the love.

Thank you for the love.
