Always Will

You cried

So hard that night

You cried

All the way home

You begged me

Not to go

Over and over

You said I almost love you more

Before you were sober

Before you knew better

Did better

You cried

Fell down on your knees

It was pouring

And I was numb

Through and through

I held you

So hard that night

And then I cried

Myself to sleep

It's been weeks

Since we last spoke

And now I just don't know

What we have left

But I pray

Every day

You still love me

You cried

Over the phone

You tried

So damn hard

To get me back

I cried

So hard

Listening to you

Beg me

Tell me

You love me

You said baby girl

I need you

Come back home

But I still said no

And now

I don't know

Who I am

It's been months now

And somehow

I've learned to live on my own

By myself

All alone

But nothing feels right

Or like home

I miss you

Every day

And I think about you

When the nights get long

My love for you

Is strong

Stonger then ever

And I'm better

Then I used to be

But I still pray

You still love me

You cried

When I showed up

At your door

Out of the blue

One Tuesday

You cried

And held me so tight

You kissed me

All night

And it's been years

Since we parted

Now I can't imagine

Can't believe

I had the courage to leave

Leave my heart behind

I cry

Sometimes

Because you look at me

As if you're seeing the sun

For the first time

Every single time

Still gets to me

You still get to me

Make me cry

In the best way possible

You still hold me tight

Still kiss me

All night

And I know

You still love me

And always will
