Always you have tried to
Always you have tried to hide from everyone
Been there, done that is all I can say to you
Cannot you see that life holds no joy?
Darling girl, just let it all out, please
Even though you have close friends
Family is the best remedy for all your problems
Granted, I turned away from you some time ago
High on something, I let myself become blind;
I let you slip from my grasp.
Just give me another chance, I beg of you
Kindness never flees far away from me;
Love for you doesn't either.
Most times I know you believe I hate you
Nevermore to think of your beautiful face
Only a fool would let themselves forget you…
Perhaps I am not as foolish as you'd think?
Quiet as you are, my memory won't let me forget,
Rather it torments me with memories of failing.
Sweet little cousin, you punish yourself for others sins
Taking them upon your broad yet young shoulders
Under all that load you try to hold your head high
Vainly, you keep up appearances as if that helps.
Why must you do this to yourself? I can help!
Xenolith-like is your deception and lies to yourself
Yearning for the moment when you'll relent your thoughts
Zealously, I will find a way to guide you to the light.
