A.M.

Waking up in the morning is the biggest drag of all.

When the alarm goes off

And all you wish to do is

Throw it against the wall.

You want to remain sleeping,

Knowing that school awaits,

Especially if there’s a test,

You do not want to awake.

You think you still have time,

Therefore you continue sleeping.

Now that bad crime,

Will haunt you while you’re dreaming.

Numerous minutes later,

You finally awake.

Now you’re in a rush,

To ride the boring bus that you’re obligated to take.

You step outside the door

And see the bus go by.

You can’t go to school today,

Your teachers will wonder why.

The poor kid is now crying,

But this serves as a good warning,

No matter how tired you may be,

You have to wake up in the morning.
