Am

is it so wrong that i'm content?
i do not strive to make myself appear like i am more or less,
i just am.

what is the crime in being?
for i do not add or take away from myself,
i just am.

how do you live with yourself?
you decide to paint on your emotions along with your face,
tricking each person you see because you're fake.

how do i live with myself?
i decide to face my reality each day;
by accepting the truth, however subjective, i partake.

because i just am,
and that's all i can be.
