Am A Boy Child

Am a Boy child Tears of blood i weep... The flames of tomorrow i keep... though the slave masters whip sting my back... i will always forever be black... lustful soul my desire is her bosom... through her smile my hope will always blossom... picking cotton the sun scotches my future... they control our destiny with scripture... am a boy child yet a full grown man... yet lessons of life and death i continue to learn... am a winner i write my own toy story... no horses but elephants like Ongbak i rise to glory... wishes are kisses from my beloved... i keep my promises in scrolls uncovered... like dead seas and salty water... i drink not from my masters cup till i cross that river... run black boy run... slavery is never fun... run i say run... get away from the masters gun... am a boy child in a cotton field... am a man when bridges i build... as i remember those that the enemies killed... my thoughts are my story with such wisdom is revealed... #iambeast
