Am I?
Am I the child that begs?
The child that wants more,
Because I'm hungry but not for food?
Am I the child that crawls?
The child on hands and knees,
Because I can't take a step but can walk?
Am I the child that whines?
The child that mumbles,
Because I can't speak knowledge but can talk?
I am the child that is hungry for more knowledge,
I am the child that steps for a better life,
I am the child that speaks not ignorance, but the truth.
The truth that everyone is afraid of,
Because the truth is what hurts them the most.
The steps that got me away,
Because if I stayed I probably would not be here today.
For my knowledge,
Because I knew better,
Because I am the better,
I am!
