Am I Just Wrong?

Why can't life just be easy?

Ooh, isn't that the question

We struggle.

Every single one of us.

We work hard every single damn day.

We grind our gears until our bones give way and are legs lay stranded, wasted and limp.

We climb that infinitely long staircase.

We climb and we climb and we climb.

Trying to reach the top

But

There is no top.

We sweat, and we cry, and we run, and we work, and we bust our chops.

And Yet

We still feel

Inadequate

Inferior

and less than those around us.

So what would I change?

I would change us.

How we think.

We need to stop obsessing on our shortcomings and turn around.

Because turning around forces us to truly appreciate how far we've come.
