Am I Still Pretty? / Filterless Queen

Am I still pretty without the Valencia filter I use?

Am I still pretty if you take away the edits that make my skin tone two shades lighter?

Am I still pretty if I went without the things that you people say I abuse?

Capturing nearly 50 selfies,

Trying to perfect each and every  one

Looking at the camera, seeing an angry reflection of the person i've become.

This isn't me.

This isn't who I was set out to be.

I was raised to love myself, for me and for every imperfection.

To accept, and love myself without rejection.

These likes and  comments no longer mean anything to me.

I mean, I'm still just a teen.

But one day, I hope to scroll down my timeline and

admire myself as the filterless queen.
