AM NOT OKEY

Spoken word poetry

Am not okey

You see am not okey

Am like a broken glass

Too broken to fix

I don’t understand these pieces

 That’s too hard to pick

 I get hurt each time

I try to pick them

  You see am not okey

I miss the old us

The old us that weren’t afraid

To face the world

The old us that saw every situation

As an exploration

Just but the old us

You see am not okay

I often feel lonely

In you my world revolved

But now it spins like a broken heart

You see am not okey

There is a void that’s too hollow

For anyone to fit in

My flesh is too weak

To pick up the pieces

You left that gap

That even if i tried

I can’t get you out of my brain

You see am no longer okey

Am becoming insane

With every thought that

Probably am chained to this wall

No lights no life

Dead bones licked sores

Just doomed

Am no longer okey
