Ambition

She Breathes in. Breathes out. She continues.

Her mind focused straight ahead on the issue

Her eyes locked in tunnel vision

As she processes this big decision.

The snakes and monsters wait for her in strife

Ready to consume all she has in her life

Should she wait in fear, let them consume all she has?

Or should she try to survive and hope it won't last?

She breathes in. Breathes out. She staggers.

The poison directed at her are sharp as daggers.

She holds her head high, for ignorance is bliss

Listening, and waiting and hoping is all a miss

Should she give in and fail? To wait and die?

Or should she continue to hold her head high?

She breathes in. Breathes out. She falls

The Earth underneath her seems to tumble and shift

Her strength weakens, her eyes are opened to see the most wonderful gift.

She was never alone. She never needed to question.

The love she needed, and recieved without hesitation

She was finally saved.

Not ruined. Not destroyed. Unscathed.

She breathes in. Breathes out. She continues.
