America was already GREAT

What does one say when their words are just tossed away,

Because in society today we have LOVE TRUMPS HATE

It’s no wonder some people just fall to their knees and break

But I won't keep quiet, no I won't stand still

I’m overwhelmed with these feelings;

Im angry, I’m sad, heartbroken, and mad

Because I'm expendable; I do not matter

To all the people in America whose hearts have shattered...

Because the 1% has made their statement that with the browning of America, “It has now been tainted.”

We don't choose our DNA, we don't depict our birth

Yet you have the audacity to stand there, yelling at us; telling us what we're worth

Why…

Because we're NOT PRETTY enough,

We’re NOT WHITE enough,

We’re NOT MAN enough,

We’re NOT STRAIGHT enough,

But still human enough to hurt

Despite what you think we’re worth.
