American Soldier
I'm up early this morning with my brothers and sisters, the voices in my head of their loud screams, leaves nightmares on the premises of everyone's soul, the night grows darker and the bullets stop roaring, Not a man in sight, ready to fight, but a soul crawling towards me through the darken fog of death, as he comes closer i reload my gun ready to shoot, i realized hes an american soldier grabbing my pant leg, he whispers, "Your the last one left soldier, Tell my wife and daughter i love them" he closes his eyes and death moves upon the poor soldier, I crouch down thinking about what the soldier had told me and i made a promise to myself that i would tell them, scared to move or make a noise I lay there till dawn, When i arouse this morning from the ground my vision had finally came back and I realized I was standing on the ground of death of all my fellow com-rads, a tear rolls down my face as I see another man come closer, running like a cheetah looking for food, a loud noise behind me, a grenade falls next to me, knowing there is no time for me to run I pray, Pray for away to be okay, knowing this is my day, I get to meet Jesus Christ himself, the man jumps on the grenade saving my life, Purple Heart. Feeling like a coward I grab my gun, point it to my head, knowing im being surrounded by the enemy, I pull the trigger but the bullet doesn't come out, my guns jammed i hear voices all around me, i look up slightly noticing my enemies all around me, knowing im about to go meet my destiny, i try one last time, I cock the gun back, put the gun up to my head, a tear rolling down my face, memories flashing by, screams of terror.. I pull the trigger..bang. my body falls to the floor.
