American Soldiers

It's unbelievable, the chances they take

knowing their lives are at stake

Fighting for freedom and rights, 

all day long, and again at night

Leaving behind all they know and love,

because our country is what they put above

Overseas is where they are, 

and to their families, it is much too far

We should find it in our hearts to pray, 

that they will be kept safe day by day

After all, they mean a lot to you and me,

these American soldiers are the reason we're free
