American Warrior

I am the stone that the builder refused The idea of something great Held back by a people confused I am the torch that your old lady holds Burning with the fires of revolution Silent but ready, waiting to unfold I am the mountain from which freedom rings The same mountain from which they broadcast dreams Of a life successful and complacent Wealth and desire hiding their product's seams I am your neighbor, your lover I am the soldier who fights for your freedom And the cop who shot your brother We are the ones who have been victimized I am the part of you that has yet to be realized.
