America's Favorite Myth

The warmth in your eyes penetrates my thick skin and melts my inhospitable heart. Appearing. Dissapearing. The ghost of my life. Displaying pure vulnerability to you. My parents they don't believe me when I speak about you. But I know you exist, you could. Take me under your wing and let's soar loud and proud. Cuddle you when I'm afraid and share my deepest secrets. Can we grow like wildflowers and rising dough together? Peter and Wendy have nothing on us. I wish we could be together But it's all in my head because everyone knows that love is the most mythical creature that couldn't ever exist.
