America's Food System

If I could have any job

and it would change my life,

I’d be a farmer

so that every time I went to the supermarket

Nothing would be taken for granted.

I’d feel the weight of quotas

as whatever I don’t grow is another American child hungry.

I would try my best

but learn of failure

as the Earth grows what she wants.

I’d learn the full impact of the pesticide monopolies

and learn what they really do.

I’d be a better person

and

no one would be able to take that away from me.
