America's Glow Up
It isn't time to make america great again!
A country that was founded on the bood of the natives and slaves was never great to begin with.
It's time for America to glow up
Cleanse yourself, America, Of the blemishes of bigotry
Drop the weight of hate from your shoulders
Drop those who don't grow with you
When Donald Trump calls you at 3am and says he misses you
Respond to him with, "New phone, who dis?"
Glow up, America
When you hear the cries of children locked in cages, open the doors
When black men shout "Stop killing us!", then listen
When survivors say "He hurt me", believe them
Glow up, America
Injustice has no room in your heart
Equal rights and opportunities should become second nature
No one should cry because of you, America.
A country founded on the blood of innocents
Was never great to begin with
But one day, America, you'll learn the secret
And then it's over for those hoes,
Those bigots that don't hear the heart beats pounding in the foster system, in cages, in toxic homes, in front of an officer who insists they have a gun, in front of a mass shooter who is "just mentally ill",
These bigots will always tell you what they think you should do
But one day when you're ready, America,
Speak up
Stand up
Glow up
And don't go back.
