America's Nature

A mountain is defined by its peaks and valleys

See for yourself the tallies

Tallies of the valley we find ourselves in

Each time hate seems to win

Nature is known as a phenomenon of landscape

Yet too often now we see it get into a scrape

We need a wave of gratitude

Of those who made it possible to end the feud

The feud between governmental freedom and captivity

Gratitude towards those who made it past the acclivity

We need an ocean of compassion

For those who have lost their hope and gained dispassion

We need a cloud to rain the waters of truth

So that the old can show the value of honesty to today’s youth

We need a sandbar of human dignity

Where every grain of sand represents you and me

We need a tsunami of love that destroys every hate in it’s way

So it’s unthinkable to let abominations stay

We need the great plains of freedom

For every soul who says they need ‘em

We need a mountain where the peaks reign as the valleys cave

In the land of the free and home of the brave
