Amnesia
In the beginning it was a tiny apartment in a small town.
There was a room for mom and dad, and a room for their little girl.
There were playgrounds outside and toys inside.
Outside of that there was grammy's house and there were all the other places.
People didn't have names.
People didn't have faces.
They just were, and she was the only child in the world.
Then the little girl stopped, and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was a medium apartment in a small, familiar town.
There was a room for mom and dad, a nursery for a new sister, and a room for the little girl.
There were playgrounds outside and toys and a TV inside.
There was grammy's house where everything was, and some boring stores.
There was a building filled with other children where a lady taught lessons that were empty.
People had names the little girl couldn't remember.
People had faces the little girl was afraid of.
They existed, and the little girl watched from a distance.
Then the little girl stopped, and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was a small rented house in a big town.
There was a room for mom and dad, a room for brother, and a room for sister to share with the little girl.
There was a park outside and toys and a TV inside.
There was an empty hole where everything had been, and some boring stores.
There was a building with other children where a lady taught lessons that held the universe.
People had names that the little girl started to know.
People had faces that seemed okay, and some seemed like friends.
They were here, and so was the little girl.
Then the little girl stopped and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was a medium rented house in a big town.
There was a room for mom and dad, a room for the brothers, a room for sister to share with the little girl, and some other rooms too.
There was a yard outside and toys and a TV inside.
There was a familiar building with familiar children. A lady taught lessons that held the universe, then another taught lessons that were empty.
People had names that the little girl called.
Poeple had faces that the little girl smiled with.
They were proof that there had been something before everything stopped.
Then the little girl stopped and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was half a duplex in on a big street in a village.
There was a room for mom and dad, a room for the brothers, and a room for sister to share with the little girl.
There were other kids outside and books and a TV inside.
There was a school with unfamiliar children. Teachers taught lessons that went in different directions.
People had names and the little girl learned them.
People had angry faces that were covered by happy masks.
Everything new started to become just a little bit more real.
Then the little girl stopped and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was a big rented house on a hill.
There were rooms, but they didn't matter. The only real room belonged to the little girl, who had gotten bigger.
There was a hiking trail outside and books and a TV inside.
There was a school with unfamiliar children. There were lessons everywhere but they all flew away.
People had names and the girl learned them.
People had faces and the girl learned them.
They never learned anything about her.
Then the girl stopped and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was a big house by a tunnel of trees.
There were rooms, and the girl could name every one.
There were flowers outside and books inside. A phone was wherever she wanted it to be.
There was a school with new people. Some lessons taught the universe. Others made everything slowly start to fade to black again.
There were names that made the darkness go away.
There were faces that made everything real again.
The world was a real place. She could remember happiness. She could remember sadness.
She could remember good and she could remember bad.
She could remember.
The girl was almost ready to begin again whist remembering everything.
Then, just before her time to move on came,
the girl stopped
and everything went black.
In the beginning, it was an enormous house hidden by trees.
There was only one room. The rest were not real.
There was nothing outside.
There was a piano and some books inside, but sometimes they would stop being real.
There was an empty school. There were empty lessons that faded away right after being taught.
There were no names except for the echos of names from a house by a tunnel of trees.
The faces were hollow and empty.
Everything was dark.
Everything was black.
Nothing was real.
Nothing could ever be real again.
The girl looked down at her body as it sat and faded away.
The names of the past were gone.
The faces of the past were gone.
She was gone.
All that was left to do was fall asleep and let the amnesia set in again.
So she stopped and let everything go black one more time.
