Among My Thoughts

Among my thoughts are memories I regret.
Yet with these, are those that I'm fond of.
The ones that are horrifigying, I try to forget.
I try to find the diamond in the rough.

Among my thoughts are people I love,
And those people I love, I admire as well.
In a field of crows, they are the doves
Influencing me to come out of my shell.

Among my thoughts are meaningful experiences,
Experiences that have changed me.
Each one a different influence.
These influences causing me to feel free.

Among my thoughts is who I am.
Who I was, and who I will be.
I've changed much yet stayed the same.
It's finally time to be me.
