Among Us

Sat, 07/20/2019 - 18:44 -- solsol

The gods are still among us,

Hiding in plain sight

Athena marches with others,

Protesting to have equality for all

Apollo accompanies everyone,

His music blasting through earbuds

Hephaestus' labor is everywhere,

Shown through the working class' efforts

Hera smiles softly in joy,

When another couple ties the knot

Poseidon rules the ocean,

Shown in people cleaning his waters

Hades oversees the grief of others,

As people deal with their loved ones being lost

Demeter scorns the politicians,

Through the scientists of the earth

Hermes brings us important news,

Through the people that share with others

Artemis takes care of the wild,

As seen through forest restoration

While Zeus watches over them all,

Making sure they are doing their best

The gods are still among us,

Not dead but not alive

They are shown through what humanity can do

And what we will do next
