Amor

I waited up till 1 A.M for you to get off work so I could listen to your voice

I didn’t eat lunch today so I could buy you dinner

I waited for you even though you lead me on for months

I stayed up till you texted me goodnight so I could be the last person you talked too

Because I love you.

I dream about you sometimes, good things and bad

In one dream you’ll cheat on me and it will feel so real

But I know you, I know you know of my past experiences that you wouldn’t do that to me

So I let it go, pretend as if I never dreamt of it

Because, well, I love you.

I love you so much that I would give up my paycheck that I earned for working long hours to get you clothes you’ve wanted.

I love you so dear that sometimes I wonder how I even ended up with a guy like you

And the rare times that you get mad, yell and cuss

I forgive you

Because I love you.
