amy

over the years you have become a shadow of a person.

as your black eyeliner grew thicker, your body grew skinnier.

smudged and sharp,

you were everything in between.

when i dug deep enough

i could still find the old you drowning in memories of the past.

but you wanted so badly to escape the life you once strived for,

and the dreams that once flooded your childhood mind now weighed you down.

oh amy,

i wish you didn't end the way you did,

but the impression you left makes me want to strive for better.

for you started a spark that cannot be extinguished.
