An Ocean of Emotion

Throughout the vastness of space, where we erase pointless information We often approach warm and cold fronts in our saltwater minds Sometimes we’re capable of preparation, and yet, we often feel devastation We carry tendencies to exert apologies, yet we’re still misaligned At last, we will cast away our mental castaways Sometimes, we’re led astray, feeling ripped and tattered in frays All along, we’ll feel a craze as we graze the praise Some things never feel nice, such as rations of reason stripped away Replace the next wave, let the tides of turbulence pass by Keep your patience, people will except your appreciation In spaces where our atmosphere is clear, all to clarify amplified Emotions that often create sediment in our mantle in conservation Even when we seek consolation, we find a gentle breeze Of a person’s breath to be soothing—despite if it’s freezing After all, that temperature shift leads to a cold front mixing With our warm front, creating a storm of emotion, it’s conflicting While we’re always lost at sea, we’ve seen the panes of glass Past our actions that shattered the boats made of mirrors We hated our reflection as we sailed the space–now it’s clearer To see the release we lacked perpetually, locked away in our wrath We gave love, they gave infatuation, we gave affection, they lost attention We lost happiness, they gained interest, we felt agonized, they became victimized Twisting faster than turbulent tides, deflecting more than our mirrors with ill intention We were caught, our breath choked as they tainted the reality, we became humidified Now the storms thunder and roar as we cry, scream, and shout in pain Where our misery was caught in the jaws of our depths of an ocean So vast and limitless, that there was no limit to our scornful haze Our words were infinite, we tried to beg—belittling ourselves to stop the poison But they never apologized, they made us petrified and distanced They abandoned us, leaving in our times of need, like discarding a broken tool An object, an inanimate thing to be utilized and reused, like an obtuse spirit Where they couldn’t manipulate our empathy—treating us as if we’re uncool
