The Anatomy of A Love Song

I’ve always watched movies where men hit on women and told them they could make sweet music with them.

I’ve imagined them ripping out her ribs

To make xylophones

Gorging out her heart

Using it as a metronome

Taking her teeth

To make maracas

Cutting out her lungs

To make bagpipes

Breaking her fingers and toes

To use as keys to a piano

Tearing off her hands

Clashing them together like cymbals

Plucking her hairs

To use as strings in his violin

Men can be musicians at times

Playing a woman to her very death
