Before and After

Why can't I live without my love

because before my love I was not living

I was only existing

I was in the shadows

A ghost in the walls

But then

Oh but then you came crashing in

and i couldn't help but feel alive

My world was in color for the first time

For he did not mind picking up my broken pieces

the pieces left by the past

For he did not run when he saw me in shambles

Tears pouring down my face as I screamed at the sky

Without my love I would only be existing
