up up and away

with every jump, every hop, every scuff, i dance away my troubles

alone in the garage, in my own tiny bubble

nothing but a scrap of wood, my shoes, and a speaker

a place where the universe isn't watching, yet where the world is my oyster

i jump, i spread my wings, and i fly

soaring through the sky

but then i'm tripped by you

and the fantasy fades
