Up and Awoke

Wed, 10/31/2018 - 14:55 -- Micahya

They hear me

See me

Tell me

Read me

Stuff that’s given

Hasn’t been easy

They say they listen

But I’m constantly on repeat

Sometimes it’s not worth it

I’d rather them tease me

Than stand here and discuss

The world that would please me

Not complicated

Situated issues that is far from faded

It’s constantly conversated

Waiting to just leave, escape it

We all have to stand up for it

Arms wide open, not just folded

Peacefulness, I want to show it

But it’s hard we’re often scolded

Standing up for our own rights

Don’t be scared just stand and fight

We are right here by your side

We use our brain not run and hide

The hate you give affects us all

But, I’m still standing, not gonna fall

Sometimes we have to jump the wall

To save our lives, answer the call

Fight for your rights!
