And He Did...
I used to fall on my knees and pray to God like he was a bill breaker to give me some change.
I only wished that I could turn these dollar bills that disguised themselves as love into quarters of affection and nickels of care.
I just needed a little change but wasn't even given my two cents... Subjected to hiding my voice behind silence.
My face was a desert as it absorbed my tears.
It, aborted them as if they were unplanned, emotions.
Accidental raindrops from the crevasses of my eyes that died before even given the chance to survive.
But on the desert of my face was a permanent canyon called a smile.
A smile that leased out a home to pain.
It was the landlord of my identity that was strained, by the poisinus grains, of sorrow that I borrowed from men to nourish my soul, that fed my soul, that led to the death of my soul.
Every man in my life has done me false, as if that were my only truth.
Held my heart hostage as they abducted my identity,
Blinding me from being able to see my true beauty as I looked through their acuve.
lenses.. While all the while my life was hanging on the hinges.
I held on to these relationships because they were all I knew, but I finally let them go shortly after I befriended A man named Joseph, who was not the average joe.
My reality with him is so amazing that my dreams become a plateau.
I would rather stay awake forever for in my dreams I am alone.
In my dreams i don't have a home...like I do with him.
Every moment we have is beyond pleasant.
I never wanted to live for today until he became my present.
He makes the dark of my heart bright as he were its fluorescent ( light).
He rescued me from this life as he in the shining armor of God became my knight.
Ever since I fell in love with him I could never doubt the existence of God as it was beyond.. Coincidence.
He was the first man to care and give me my two cents
That I have anticipated for years with a soul full of suspense.
He has invested so much into the stock of my life. Whether the Dow was up or down he remained.
One by one he has been picking away those borrowed grains, that have so strained, my soul.
He replaced them with Godly motives, love and kindness.
genuine care, concern and sound mindness.
Began to take away the lenses that the others put on me that caused blindness.
He convinced me that someone could love me before pigs fly.
That love is not limited to a monetary tie .
That I no longer need to hide, my emotions or seek anything outside of God.
I am like his student and he is trying to have me learn.
That love is something I'm entitled to and shouldn't have to earn.
That I shouldn't have to put in overtime that conflicts with my values only to get paid emotional minimum wage.
That I have accepted from every man since a young age.
I am blessed to have found a man who would lock that side of my reality in a cage.
Faslehood is no longer a truth im forced to contain.
I can now recognize love as my heart is no longer sprained.
My face is no longer a hiding place for my emotional pain.
My soul is no longer nourished by poisonous grain.
I'm so glad that after calling upon Gods name, Joeseph came.
Because...
I used to fall on my kness and pray to God like he was a bill breaker to give me some change
And he did.
