And if it wasn't for you...


Small in size and frivalous to most, but I find all comfort with you.

If it wasn't for you, being stranded would create lilac streaks across

my already dependent blood-shot heart.

Your rough exterior and smooth inner workings bring joy.

I can create many worlds within you and escape from loneliness in your lines.

 I never needed a person to listen or a crowd to cheer me on. 

You gave me silent standing ovations by just simply accepting my words.

No judgement, no questions asked. You loved me like I needed love to live.

Like I needed it to survive... so on this island of nothingness...

I need you to keep me alive.

Oh mighty mighty book of words (my words)!

You unleash my mind and occupy it with stories from an infinite imagination.

How I love you so, How I need you mo'

My poetry lives on your pages and my soul lives in your creases.

Even on this desert island, you hold together my pieces. - A
