And if you had asked


And if you had asked if my soul was free,
I'd have crawled through the dirt given up to the sea.
For in my years living, those I thought counted most,
you showed to be memories fleeting as ghosts
 
shots fired bang bang crawling through the dirt
encase in a polished casket this bottomless smothering hurt
bury it deeply inside this old soul
fake all the innocence and pay this last toll
 
replicate with broken watches time you slyly stole
Punch through end my heartbeats, with your smile in a hole
