And So I Ran

The sky was clear and bright, But my throat was closed with fright. Anxiety at the future caused me to tremble, Until no human did I resemble. I needed a solution for my troubles here at hand, and so I ran. My mind was filled with useless knowledge, Things they say will lead me to college. The fifties beats gave it to the man, But I am powerless, and so I ran. The world contains it myopic view, Looks down upon those the few, Who fear the emotional latch, I have no desire to become attached. I am broken and don’t think I can, and so I ran.
