Andre
I remember; falling in love with
you.
Late nights: wondering, hoping
You would see me. Can you see me?
Eyes blurry, no glasses, the decimation of my retina.
You taught me blindness
I can’t fix you. But I can
Break you
Better than anything else.
Am I your medicine yet?
(Your smell -old spice and damaged goods- hanging in the air like an omen)
Thorns bristling, glass cutting like water, shivering, no air. Gulp.
Too fast.
Lights flashing:
yellow,
green,
RED!
I remember. Do you?
