Mentoring is easy to you

It’s in you blood,

Your bones

I don’t know if you even tried

You are always there

You were always where any soul could go

We all had our good days and bad days,

Fine times and hard times,

Flying elation and crumbling depression

But steadfast and and not so stoic

You were there

You lifted us up and no one ever asked why

You needed us as much as we needed you

You wanted us to bring you up with us

But life doesn’t work like that.

Life is always there

And no soul can escape it

It gives you the good and bad,

The fine and hard,

And most powerfully: the flight and crumble

But you aren’t like life

You aren’t there

You are on another path of humanity

That can fight through the second tiers

Everyone wants to be seen in their best light

I see yours

It’s in what you have left in our homes, heads, and

Hearts

You are everything I try to be

If I can ever impact anyone like you do

I’ll achieve my dream
