For An Angel
Tell me was the bullet cold? I would have given you my warmth, given you my heart so you could grow old. Tell me did your tears ever dry? Your face was still wet before I could say goodbye. Rest by my side tonight, i'm sure God will let you visit. I just need one more time to hold your face and kiss it. I always want to leave so I can be with you, but what about the dreams I promised to carry through? Tell me why you never said just how sad you were... I would have fought to my death to find you your cure. Tell me how the clouds appear as you look down... gazing with your eyes so big and beautifully brown. tell me if i'll make it because each day i'm losing hope. I've found myself completely lost and I dont know how to cope. So i'll tell you what it's like down here ever since you left... People are killing people and each day we have all wept. No ones heart is whole so we try to fix it with a bowl, followed by a pill and a bottle, get in the car and hit the throttle. Hoping the road will never end... so from this hell im in... it's all my love I send.
