Angel

From the doorway I stare,

At the soft waves in your hair.

At your eyes delicately shut.

Darkness fills the empty space

As I stroke the gentle curves of your face

To ease the murmuring in my gut.

I whisper in your ear—

Darling, do you hear?

A sweet angel of music.

Your neck is smooth, like the song I sing.

My hands become tight as they begin to cling.

Sensation, sensation—I think I feel sick.

Desperately squeezing—harder, harder!

Grasping onto the soft flesh of your throat.

Frantically gasping, terror, terror—you need air.

Wanna know a secret? So do I.

But only one of us can have it.

Who will it be?

Speak to me,

Sweet angel.
