A canvas is a portal into the perception of how the universe works. It is a subconscious reflection of my internal evolvement. My purpose in art is to heal the self. I’ve never really felt so sure about anything. I am very quick to pick an interest, but also quick to drop it a month later. However, art has been a habit that has always stood beside me. It is my solitude and where I stay elevated.I find interest in spirituality or as others say,”Higher consciousness”. With my art I hope to make people question the world we live in. I am Elizabeth Paola Vargas and I create psychedelic surrealism.I first started art when I picked up a pencil at the age of four. I didn’t quite have a full understanding on art. Yet I found myself always carrying an interest in creating. Whether it was doodling over a math equation or painting on a ripe new sketchbook. I realized I had passion for visual arts when I sat down my three-year-old sister and put my entire self into working on the watercolor paper. I was eight years-old at the time. I am currently 17 years-old and see myself growing more each day with painting.
