For an Angel
Dear Tito Jay:
It's been 10 years since you passed away.
No one wanted you to leave; we just wanted you to stay.
But God called you early... earlier than anyone expected;
For you were only 34 when you first laid in that hospital bed.
You were in that same place for almost a month.
After that time, I guess you've had enough.
They turned off the machine, soon after we said our goodbyes.
I said, "I love you," then left and cried.
The doctor came back and told us the bad news:
"I'm sorry, but he has now died."
Then we soon sat in those church pews.
After that, however, time seemed to go by fast.
But there's one thing that hasn't changed,
And that is that our love towards you will always last.
