angels of the night and the knight of the dawn

long ago

where only two hearts existed

angels roamed

and so did love

when god brought forth

this heavenly bright light

he had no idea

that this was just the night

and when he came forth one day

he said

i am but a knight

i have angels that follow me

but only by night

as i am a knight

they are my people

they call me king

even though i am knight

i am the knight of all nights

and they are the angels of this knight
